SU Today and the Future

SU has become one of the most strategically positioned organization and it has vast opportunities for explosive growth and expansion. It has become one of the highly esteemed organization in Christian body. SU is establishing regional offices and expanding its staff base for maximum impact. The Francistown is already making an impressive impact. Camp as usual is the key event of the year. The camp program includes quiet time, teaching/preaching, intensive prayers for young people, talent show, counseling, question box, intercession, and life skills sessions.

SU has over the years managed to overcome the challenges of working interdenominationally. In most cases it is even difficult to detect that a SU gathering consists of people from different churches. The other area that SU has worked on successfully is to hold parenting workshops for social workers and Churches. SU has great material on this subject. The life skills program has become a great benefit for youth who are bombarded from all angles by destructive forces.

The emphasis of this season for our ministry is evangelism, discipleship, family ministry, imparting life-skills, development of campsites, resource mobilsation, staff welfare and development, retention of competent staff, ground breaking work in printing and publishing, expanding the work to primary schools and private schools, expansion of SU staff to other regions, wealth creation projects, strengthening regional bodies and seeking useful partnership with Church organisations.

The needs of our youth today are diverse and SU needs intensive support from its stakeholders to enhance excellent performance and sound impact. There is need to build a robust sustainable economic base, capable of meeting the financial obligations for effective program delivery, and to meet the needs of the organizational beneficiaries.
